Jam Raye Agro Holdings Ltd

Who we are

At Jam Raye Agro Holdings Ltd, we believe every woman farmer holds the seeds of her community’s future. By partnering with women who tend 1–10 acre plots, we invest in their vision, their skill and their strength; so that each harvest becomes a step toward lasting prosperity and independence.

About Us

Empowering Women Farmers - Growing Kenya

Our Mission

Our mission at Jam Raye Agro Holdings Ltd is to invest in, and support Kenyan women smallholder farmers. Those working 1- 10 acre plots; so they can grow sustainable crops and livestock, build generational wealth, and strengthen their communities. We provide the capital, training and market connections they need to succeed, then reinvest 65 % of our own profits into launching new women-led farms, creating a self-sustaining cycle of growth and impact.

I’m Raye Julius Nyerere, a Jamaican-Canadian who keeps a regular job by day; and pours every spare dollar and idea into rural Kenya by night. In 2022, drained and searching for perspective, I took an unplanned trip to Kenya. The welcome I found there reset my life.  I was once approached and asked for money. After talking for a short time I bought her and her family a box of day-old chicks and a sack of feed. Two years later, she had 100 chickens, six pigs, a few goats—and no need to beg anyone for anything. That one sharp lesson in leverage became the blueprint for Jam Raye Agro Holdings Ltd.

We partner with Kenyan women who manage, inherit, or dream of running farms from one to ten acres. Our flagship is a seven-acre goat project in Kisii, with two more sites queued in Kilifi.

What we bring to each farm is deliberately practical:

  • Starter livestock and quality feed

  • Fencing and reliable water solutions

  • Straight-forward bookkeeping and training

  • A transparent profit-share everyone can read on one page

From every shilling that comes back to us, 35 percent covers bare-bones admin, field visits, receipts, and audits. The remaining 65 percent seeds the next farm. Our aim is clear: stand behind at least ten thriving, women-led farms by 2030, each profitable, debt-free, and ready to lift the next family in line.

One flock at a time, one acre at a time—that’s how gratitude turns into lasting opportunity for rural Kenyan families.

Ground-Level Partnership

We don’t drop off a cheque and disappear.
Our team visits each partner farm regularly—checking animal health, troubleshooting water or fencing issues, and refining record-keeping on the spot. When questions pop up between visits, we’re a WhatsApp call away with agronomy tips, veterinary contacts, or pricing advice.

This ground-level coaching keeps small setbacks from becoming big losses and helps every farm hit its profit-share targets sooner. One flock at a time, one harvest at a time, we grow stronger together.
